When Michelle called me to schedule a photo shoot with her newborn daughter, Cali-Rae, I was very excited to meet this little princess. With two older sons, ages three and 18 months, you a imagine the energy Michelle exuded having a baby girl.

Cali- Rae was born on Tuesday, April 9. As with all newborn photography, the ideal time for a shoot is within the first two weeks, so we scheduled her shoot for that Friday, April 13th.

At 4 days old, babies sleep, a lot, so posing them during shoots is typically very easy and you get the best keepsake photos.

Michelle said that should would love to have Cali-Rae photographed with purple colors, perhaps royal and lavender, and of course pink.

I chose these beautiful flowered headbands to put on Calie-Rae so as not to take away from her beautiful skin tone, nor the pinks and purples that Michelle wanted included, but rather to compliment the entire scene.

Being a photographer in Maryland and the Washington D.C. the flowers also remind me of the cherry blossoms that are oh so popular this time of year in our area of the country. Being peak season, they were the perfect touch to a photo shoot for this newborn bundle of joy.
